The event follows a hybrid 18-day format. It consists of an online build phase and a physical pitch day.
Mentorship can be available throughout the online hack period with specific timeslots for teams to choose from.
All Malaysians and visa holders currently residing in Malaysia are eligible to join.
No, you'll need to be in a team to participate. Don't worry if you don't have one yet—we can help match you with others! (** give teammate finding link)
Each participant will need to submit their LinkedIn account for verification.
A team can consist of 2 to 4 members.
No participants can belong to more than one team.
The project idea must be built from scratch. Submissions must be the team's own original work created during the online hackathon period.
The rule to build from scratch includes frameworks that were built privately by the team prior to the event.
Participants own the intellectual property (IP) of their projects.
Devfolio is the suggested platform for hackathon registration and submission. Participants are not eligible for the Pitching Session if there are no submissions done on Devfolio.
You must submit a pitch deck, a link to the project's socials (preferably X), a GitHub repository link, a link for the deployed app (if applicable), and a video of the overall MVP.
The pitch deck must cover your Problem Statement & Project Objective, Motivation and Challenges, Commercialisation and Business Model, Technology Stacks and Track Chosen, and the Overall Concept of the Project.
Projects are judged based on Technical Implementation (30%), Practicality & Impact (30%), Presentation & Clarity (20%), User Experience (UX) & Design (10%), and Originality. Judges will also look at Functionality, Potential Impact, Novelty, UX, Composability and integration, and Business Plan viability.
